චිකන් කරි - Chicken curry
- ෆිනූසා ෆාරුක් විසිණි.
CHICKEN CURRY
ingredients
2 tsp chillie powder
1/2 tsp masala powder
2 TBS curd/yogurt
1 small tomato(chopped)
1 tsp pepper powder
2 cardamom pods(crushed)
2 cloves of garlic(chopped)
A small piece of ginger(chopped)
Cinnamon 1 inch piece
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp cummin powder
6 TBS thick milk
1 TBS butter/ghee
1 green chillie(slit)
Some curry leaves(chopped)
Salt
Method
Temper all the powders together in a very low flame.(chillie,masala ,cummin,coriander and pepper).Add them to the yogurt.Add salt too.Now coat the chicken pieces with it.Let it marinate for 45 minutes.
Take a pan .Heat oil.Temper onion for 7 to 10 minutes.Add garlic and ginger.Temper for a few more minutes.Now add the green chillie.Temper for a few more minutes.Add chicken,temper at least for five minutes.Add half cup of water.(tea cup).Close the pan with a lid and cook for 5 minutes in low flame.Add tomato and a little more water.Close the pan and cook for 5 more minutes.Add milk.Close the pan.Let it simmer for a few more minutes.Finally add ghee or butter and the curry leaves.Add salt accordingly.
